Oh, great, it's a kind of flood topic )) Guys, who has travelled to Europe by train? I think it's better to go by train to Warsaw , and then it'll be easier to reach any destination in Europe from Poland. Are there any web sites that can help me to plan my trip from Kiev (or Lviv) by train?

Dianna, we've found hidden opportunities. Flood without penalties!)))
Dianna, I travelled to Krakow by train few years ago. There were 2 trains from Lviv: the night one to Wroclaw and the morning one to Warsaw (not sure). You better call to the international department of our railway station and ask them. They helped me a lot with buying tickets.
What do you think about Wizz-Air? My friend flied to Katovice for less than $50.
LIra,haha, the only advantage in travelling by train is my fear of flying, the only thought of flying makes me sweat ((thanks for that new forum, should have known about it. Miss Pirs, wizz air from ukraine or from poland? as fas as I know it will close its business in ukrain in april, moreover to get cheap tickets one should buy them 3 months before the departure, I don't have precise dates at the moment.

from Ukraine. As far as I know, Wizz Air Ukraine is leaving but Wizz Air Hungary will replace it Of course, only the most popular destinations will remain in their flying schedule.
Travelling to Poland by train was very exhausting for me. Mostly because of long way to Lviv.
Dianna, for overcome your fear, you need just try to do it Maybe you would even like to fly, it's very special feeling I've the same fear till 30, but then my desire to see Europe was so great that I didn't want to loose days for train or car, as vacations are always limited in time

I think it`s the first reason you are afraid to fly our service and technical condition of planes can frighten anybody. But traveling by train is a great idea, I think. Especially if you are not limited in time. It`s a great opportunity to see more pecularities than traveling by plane. And it`s safe and quiсkly. It will be exhausiting only to reach Lviv And I do love trains (even our Ukrainian)

Dianna, when my friend comes from USA she never flies on the territory of Ukraine, moreover she doesn`t let her family to fly from ZP even to Turkey... And I have a friend who works on the plant that maintains that planes and he strongly reccomend to use train when traveling in Ukraine But there are lots of people who flies and don`t worry at all. But traveling by train has a lot difficulties of course, the first for me is baggage. And a child) And her baggage I can`t even imagine how many things should we take with us
